CROSPOVIDONE

Crospovidone

Introduction

Crospovidone is a tablet lubricant explicitly created for formulations where alternative lubricants cause formulation and/or manufacturing issues. MARK-PRUV has the following advantages over the commonly used lubricant magnesium stearate:

  • No influence on the dissolution
  • Resistance to over lubrication
  • Improved appearance of effervescent solutions
  • High API compatibility

Azathioprin, Cefaclor, Cilazapril, Clopidogrelacetate, Diclofenac, Fosinopril, Ibuprofen, Ketorolac, Levofloxacin, Nifedipine, Omeprazole, Ramipril, and Trandolapril are some of the APIs that have been found to have incompatibility issues with magnesium stearate.

It aids in creating new products and is especially well suited for high-speed direct compression of tablets.

Physical Properties of Crospovidone

  • A fine white powder.
  • Anti-adhesive qualities.
  • The melting point is high.
  • Particle size control.
  • A specified surface region that is well defined.
